AJ Danforth is delighted to be working as one of the Director of Theatre at McKinney North High School. Mr. Danforth began his acting career at a young age in Tyler, TX appearing as Linus in "You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown" and Garry/ Roger in the hysterical comedy, "Noises Off."


He received his Bachelors of Art at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, where he studied acting, directing, and educational theatre. In that time he performed in main stage productions like "Anima Mundi," and "William Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor." 


Mr. Danforth has been teaching theatre for ten years. He began his teaching career in San Antonio, TX working at Northside iSd. tHeir He worked as a technical and artistic director. At Brandeis High School he worked on produced such as Rogers and Hammerstein’ s "Cinderella," and "James and the Giant Peach." He also competed in UIL One Act Play with "Medea," "The Little Prince," and "She Kills Monsters." 


In his time at McKinney North High school, Mr. Danforth has directed incredible shows like "The Ash Girl," "Urinetown," "The 39 STeps," "Big fish," and many others. Mr Danforth is excited for another great year at drama dawg theatre!
